Providing the option to participate in some outdoor activities gives our clients an opportunity to appreciate nature and alleviate some of the stress of overcoming addiction. Most importantly, these activities also demonstrate it is possible to enjoy life sober, without drugs or alcohol. Above it All Treatment Center's setting in the pristine San Bernardino Mountain range takes full advantage of the serenity of nature and adds an extra dimension to the recovery process.
Our treatment center activities focus on experience as an enhancement to the recovery process. We utilize nature-based activities such as hikes, boating and day trips in the beauty of the surrounding areas to facilitate a change from within. Our outdoor activities vary according to season, but whether it is the scent of pines wafting on a summer breeze or a crisp, calming quiet of an autumn rain, the healing properties of nature are a constant companion.
Aspects of alcohol and drug rehab and dual diagnosis can be overwhelming at times. Meditation, yoga, hiking, boating - whatever the treatment program activities, it is important for recovering addicts to the step into stillness and solitude and to reflect on their personal journey towards sobriety.
